I really loved this film. Staring Mark Ruffalo, Adrien Brody and Rachel Weiz, this clever film follows the adventures of two creative and theatrical con men. They see life as if it were all part of a play, Shakespeare would certainly have approved.

Filled with twists and turns, never knowing what is real and what is part of the act, the story telling is great. The lines are often very cleverly placed, as the characters self-aware they are playing characters in their con, which makes for excellent viewing.

Ruffalo, who normal is the nice good guy in films, plays a deceitful over-wise master planner of the duo and constantly wants to maintain control of his brother’s destiny. Writing him the perfect part in his play. Adrien Brody plays the sidekick fighting to find free will within his brothers masterminded planning.

Rachel Weiz also plays a real fun character, an eccentric widow with a whole lot of money and lots and lots of time. She ends up learning up every hobby possible.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and wonder what this writer/director Rian Johnson will get upto next.
